Pantheon
Chiesa di S. Maria ad Martires
P.za della Rotonda.
Entrance: free.

It was started in th 24th century by Agrippa, son in law of Augusto, and its current aspect dates back to Emperor Adrian. Its former aspect was maintained because the temple was transformed into a church during the 7th century.

The interior is a circular hall preceeded by a majestic columned porch and tympariums. The dome is covered by a magnificent rotunda, perfectly hemispherical with cassettes, and ends with a circular opening.

The Pantheon with its simple and concrete architectural skills is considered one of the most relevant masterpieces of roman architecture.
